Engine Repairs

Full rebuilds, alternator, starter motor, fuel system…

One of the simplest, most effective and inexpensive ways to help protect the life of your car, especially its engine, is to change the oil and the oil filter regularly. Oil is the lifeblood of your engine. It reduces friction, lessens wear, provides lubrication, forms a seal between the pistons, rings and cylinder walls while helping to cool engine parts.

Modern cars of today are not just about the engine, it’s also about the entire engine management system – which is responsible for the entire combustion process. Controlling the right amount of fuel to the air ratio entering the engine and igniting the compressed air/fuel mixture in the cylinder.
The engine management system is where the most advanced vehicle technologies are found. So, it’s important that engine management is part of your car’s maintenance.

The engine control unit.
Controlling the engine is the most processor-intensive job on any car and that’s all down to the Engine Control Unit. It uses data from the multitude of sensors located on the engine itself. It can include everything from the speed and temperature of the intake air to the amount of oxygen in the exhaust. It then processes this data and performs millions of calculations every second… this determines how each sensor should respond to achieve the very best engine performance, emissions and fuel economy.
